What is In-Home PT?

In-Home physical therapy occurs when a physical therapist comes to your home to provide rehabilitation services. This can occur for a variety of reasons, including:

  • Your functional mobility is limited and you cannot travel to therapy

  • You lack adequate transportation or access to transportation to get to your physical therapy

  • You simply desire a private PT session in your home


Will insurance cover my In-Home PT with HRPTMC?

In-Home PT is covered by most insurances as this is covered under outpatient physical therapy benefits. We currently take Medicare, Medicaid, Aetna, United Healthcare, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield and Humana. If your insurance carrier is not listed here please contact our office as we are continually adding additional carriers. We also provide discounts for direct-pay patients.

Is In-Home PT effective?

Absolutely! Many believe that you need expensive, heavy equipment to engage in an effective rehab program. This is not true. At HRPTMC we are trained maximize your rehab experience utilizing what’s in your home – including YOU! We also bring light equipment to your home to ensure you get the most out of your physical therapy.
